Bijou Toro Torpedo by My Father

MyFatherStart  MyFatherEnd

The image on the left is the start of the cigar and the image on the right is about 75% through. Another cigar that had good construction. I’ve pretty lucky lately, or maybe I just stepped up my game to better cigars.

The Bijou Toro Torpedo by My Father is a cigar I only smoke twice a year, on the anniversary of the death of each of my parents. Ever since the death of my father, this has been the cigar I have smoked on the anniversary of his death. My Father had a cigar called La Dama, loosely translated to The Lady, that I smoked on the anniversary of my mothers death but that cigar has been discontinued so I decided to go with this one.

A medium-full bodied cigar that is always enjoyable. The draw is smooth and the burn is great. The flavors are good as well. This is an all around great cigar. It’s probably not the best cigar I’ve ever had but it holds a sentimental value for me that always makes it enjoyable. If you’re looking for a cigar to enjoy for a special occasion you should give this one a try.

Cellar Reserve by Gurkha

GurkhaCellarStart   GurkhaCellarEnd

The Cellar Reserve by Gurkha is a beautiful cigar that is aged 15 years and it shows. The construction of this cigar was impeccable and it was reflected in the quality of the cigar. From the beginning this cigar was good.

Nice flavors, thick smoke and an even burn were some of the highlights of it. The image on the left is the cigar at the beginning and on the right I was about half way through. I forgot to take a picture at the end of it but I can tell you it was a great cigar.

I would definitely recommend this cigar to anyone who likes stronger cigars. I wouldn’t say this is the strongest cigar I’ve smoked but it definitely is approaching the full bodied end of the spectrum.

Nimmy D by Rocky Patel

NimmydStart     NimmydEnd

Pictured above are two images of the cigar, the image of the left is the start and the picture on the right is towards the end. The picture on the right shows a close up of the end of the cigar as it is nearing completion.

The first Nimmy D I had was given to me as a sample from the Rocky Patel cigar rep and I have to admit that I was hooked instantly. The flavor was great, there was a lot of smoke and the draw was perfect. If you look at the image on the right, toward the end you can see the clean line that was burning, it was this way throughout the entire cigar.

A word of caution though, this cigar is not for the beginner. It is a full bodied cigar, and unlike others that categorize themselves as that and fall short, this one delivers. Unfortunately this is not a cigar that my favorite cigar shop, Perfect Ash sells, so I have to order them online but I always make sure to have some in my humidor. This is quickly becoming my go to cigar.
